Spring conscription for military service has been announced in Turkmenistan
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the retirement of conscripted military personnel from the Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan and the regular conscription of citizens for military service.
The discharge into the reserve and conscription are scheduled to take place in April-June 2024. Male citizens who are not eligible for release or deferral from it, who turned 18 on the day of conscription, and citizens who have lost the right to deferral from conscription for military service up to 27 years old, are subject to conscription.
The decree was published in the news release of the Turkmen State Television on Friday.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, also signed an order according to which the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of National Security, the head of the State Border Guard Service, the Head of the Security Service of the President of Turkmenistan, the chairman of the State Migration Service were ordered to solemnly dismiss military personnel who served the appropriate terms and encourage excellent military and socio-humanitarian training.
