The first Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Australia presented his credentials to its Governor General


Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Australia, with residence in Tokyo, Atadurdy Bayramov, presented his credentials to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, David Hurley.
The ceremony took place on March 12 at Government House in Canberra. Ambassador Bayramov conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The diplomat confirmed the interest of the Turkmen side in deepening friendly relations with Australia in the political-diplomatic, trade- economic and cultural-humanitarian fields, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.
The Governor General responded by expressing deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes sent to him. He noted the historical significance of the appointment of the first ambassador of Turkmenistan in the modern history of relations between the two countries.
