The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry met with the Vice President of the EBRD


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met on March 14 with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by Vice President of the bank Mark Bowman.
During the negotiations, delegates considered key aspects of strengthening cooperation and improving the country’s investment climate, as well as issues of international interaction and the implementation of joint projects using technological innovations.
The parties also discussed details of partnership in the areas of transport, logistics, IT, renewable energy sources, climate change and support for local export-oriented companies.
Bowman emphasized the importance of many years of cooperation and a lot of work focused on developing entrepreneurship, strengthening the financial base of institutions and activating transport infrastructures in the region. The head of the EBRD delegation also expressed readiness for further assistance in attracting foreign investment in order to diversify the economy of Turkmenistan.
