The Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with Turkmen students in Vitebsk and visited large enterprises


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev, during a working trip to the city of Vitebsk on March 13-14, met with Turkmen students of one of the local universities and visited some production enterprises.

The Ambassador began his visit with a meeting with the leadership of the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University. The parties discussed the possibility of expanding scientific and educational exchange, training and retraining of specialists, and establishing scientific contacts.

The head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission also got acquainted with the learning and living conditions of Turkmen students. Currently, 84 citizens of Turkmenistan are studying at this university.

During a separate meeting with Turkmen youth, Shagulyev made introductory reports, including those on the theme of celebrating the 300th anniversary of the classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, and holding international events on this occasion.

The Ambassador also presented the students with the first book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, “Youth is the Support of the Motherland” (“Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy”). He especially noted the importance of this book in educating a patriotic, educated, broad-minded young generation.
At the end of the conversation, the diplomat wished Turkmen students to represent their homeland with dignity, study diligently, mastering their chosen specialty, receive a quality education in one of the most prestigious medical higher educational institutions in Belarus, and also actively participate in the cultural and sports life of the university.

Next, the Ambassador visited the Energokomplekt production association, which is the largest enterprise in the Republic of Belarus for the production of cable and wire products. He inspected the workshops and infrastructure of the plant, which produces more than 2 thousand types of products with a total volume of about 5.5 thousand tons per month.

The company's products were used in the construction of the energy infrastructure of the Belarusian nuclear power plant and will be used in the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Turkey, Akkuyu. The company works closely with the Russian united company RUSAL and takes part in the implementation of their projects.
Nazarguly Shagulyev was also invited to get acquainted with the capabilities and assortment of the Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant, which is one of the largest producers of unrefined vegetable oil in the republic: rapeseed, sunflower, soybean and flaxseed. The annual volume of products produced by the enterprise is 40 thousand tons.
