Russia opens up new prospects for cooperation in the regions

Partner states can increase the export of Russian products according to Halal standards and invest profitably in construction in Russian regions. The head of the strategic vision group “Russia-Islamic World” and Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, spoke about this at a meeting with ambassadors of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which took place on March 5 in Moscow.
“Along with establishing trade, economic and investment contacts, we are successfully developing cultural and humanitarian ties. Tatarstan is one of the pilot regions for introducing the principles of Islamic banking and financing in Russia, active work is underway to develop the halal industry, and much attention is paid to Islamic education,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Bahrain has already shown interest in Russian halal products, which opens up additional prospects for cooperation between the two countries. The invitation to Bahraini developers to participate in construction projects in Tatarstan underscores the importance of these partnerships.
Business representatives will be able to learn more about cooperation opportunities and find new partners at the International Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum”, scheduled for May 14, 2024 in Kazan. It is a platform for discussing key issues, including the halal industry, Islamic finance, development of transport corridors, education and sports.
Let us remind you that in 2022 Kazan received the status of the Youth Capital of the OIC, and in 2025 it is planned to hold the First Islamic Youth Games with the support of the federal authorities and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Athletes aged 14-16 years from more than 40 countries of the Islamic world will compete in 20 sports.
