In Turkey, archaeologists have discovered a 1700-year-old statue

On the territory of the ancient city of Perge, belonging to the Turkish province of Antalya now, archaeologists have discovered a 1700-year-old statue of a woman from the Hellenistic period. This is reported by the media. This year the sculpture was the first discovery of specialists in Perge. It is noted that the statue consists of two parts: a broken off head and a body. The excavations in Perge are led by Sedef Kokay Kepce, a Professor of archaeology at Istanbul University. The discovered figure of the 3rd century AD after restoration will be placed in the Archaeological Museum of Antalya. Archaeological excavations in Perge have been systematically conducted by Istanbul University since 1946, and in 2009 the ancient city was included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
