At the ceremony, the Iranian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtab Rozbakhani, briefly spoke about Nizami, also known as Hakim Nizami, calling him one of the pearls of Oriental literature. He touched upon Nizami’s work, his verbal art, in which he expressed mystical and philosophical thoughts.

Ruzbakhani also highly appreciated the readiness of the Turkmen side to expand cultural cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.

Then the students recited fragments of Nizami’s poem “Khosrow and Shirin”, which glorifies the greatness of love and humanistic ideals. Other works of the poet were also performed, IRNA reports.
