Turkmenistan will purchase more than 70 tons of sugar beet seeds
The State Association of the Food Industry of Turkmenistan announced the holding of a tender for the supply of 70,045 kg of sugar beet seeds that meet international standards.
The tender is being held in order to provide the country's tenants with high-quality seeds to increase sugar beet yields and develop the agro-industrial complex.
In 2023, the yield of sugar beet in Turkmenistan was increased to 224 thousand tons of sugar beet from 17.9 thousand hectares, compared with 20 thousand tons from 18 thousand hectares in 2022. This crop is grown massively in the Mary and Balkan regions. The State Association of the Food Industry was separated from the Ministry of Agriculture in February 2024 to improve the efficiency of industry management.
The deadline for submitting applications for the tender is until 12:00 Ashgabat time on April 5, 2024
