According to Wang Yi, in 2023, China has achieved new successes in creating a community with a shared future for humanity together with African, Arab, Latin American states, as well as ASEAN countries; held the third international cooperation forum in Beijing as part of the Belt and Road Initiative; contributed to the expansion of the BRICS interstate association.
The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that the People's Republic of China will continue to show firm resolve, openness and inclusiveness in diplomacy, promote the construction of a new type of international relations and expand the range of partnerships around the world, promote mutual respect and exchange among different civilizations, maintain stability in relations with major powers, implement common development with its neighbors, and to support the prosperity of all developing countries.

In response to a journalist’s question about the further construction of the Belt and Road, Wang Yi said that China will continue to implement the goals outlined in October last year at the 3rd International Cooperation Forum under the Belt and Road Initiative. In particular, the promotion of the Digital Silk Road and Green Silk Road projects will be accelerated.

Noting that this area has entered the stage of rapid development, Wang Yi emphasized the significance of the security problems arising in this regard.
