Petrofac receives a contract from Turkmengaz for the maintenance of Galkynysh field facilities

Petrofac, UAE, a leading provider of services to the global energy industry, has received a contract from Turkmengaz for the maintenance of the Galkynysh gas field.
The three-year contract worth over USD 200 million includes: provision of personnel to monitor and support operations and maintenance; provision of technical support and procurement services; as well as the development and implementation of management systems to support the efficient operation of central processing units 1 and 1A of the Galkynysh gas field. This is reported on the company's website.

It is noted that earlier Petrofac has already implemented a project for the construction of a complex for the purification of commercial gas from sulfur and onshore production facilities at the Galkynysh field. The contract for the development of the second largest gas field in the world was signed in 2009 and completed in 2013.
The facilities that Petrofac will now serve have an equal capacity of 10 billion cubic meters.
Nick Shorten, Chief Operating Officer of Petrofac Asset Solutions, said: "Petrofac has a rich history of cooperation with Turkmengaz. The expansion of our relationship is a testament to our experience in increasing the value of customer operations. The conclusion of this contract once again demonstrates our strategy to expand the geographical reach of Asset Solutions. We look forward to further cooperation with Turkmengaz, which increases the safety and reliability of operations."
