Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with the chairman of the Austria-Turkmenistan interparliamentary friendship group
Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met on Thursday, March 7, with head of the Austria-Turkmenistan parliamentary friendship group, Eva Ernst-Dziedzic.
Representatives of the legislative bodies of the two countries considered ways to intensify the activities of bilateral parliamentary friendship groups, discussed the establishment of connections between the relevant parliamentary committees and discussed the organization of cross-visits of delegations.
The guests were informed about the work of the Turkmen parliament, including in the field of gender equality, youth policy, science and education, social security, and ecology.
The parties agreed that there are opportunities for the exchange of legislative experience and the development of parliamentary diplomacy in order to expand cooperation between the two states in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In addition, a meeting of members of the friendship groups of Turkmenistan and Austria took place in the Mejlis.
