The heads of the railway departments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held talks
The railway departments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held talks in Ashgabat. During the working visit of the Uzbek delegation to Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC Zufar Narzullayev discussed issues of cooperation development with Chairman of the Turkmendemirellary Agency Azat Atamuradov on March 5-6.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of the NGO "Demirellara" and the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan, other departments of the transport complex.
The parties analyzed the state of cooperation, taking into account the prospects associated with an increase in freight traffic between the two countries, and agreed to strengthen partnerships in the field of railway logistics, which, in turn, will contribute to the development of trade and economic ties in the region.
The negotiations ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the railway administrations of the two countries. During the visit, the Uzbek delegation also visited the city of Arkadag and got acquainted with its facilities and places of interest.
