The first flight from Ashgabat was solemnly welcomed at Milan airport

The Turkmen Airlines plane - B737-800 - landed Milan Malpensa Airport on March 6, flying from Ashgabat and opening a new air route between Asia and Europe. This is the first flight from the Turkmen capital to Milan and the only direct connection between Turkmenistan and Italy, which follows a few months later the activation of a cargo flight operated by an A330 cargo aircraft.
In the future, flights may be consolidated and operated by the B777 based on the carrier's intentions. Their frequency may also be increased, but for now they will be performed twice a week.
The cutting of the symbolic ribbon and cake on the occasion of the first Ashgabat-Milan flight was attended by local officials, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toili Komekov and a representative of Turkmenistan Airlines.
