The Turkmen diplomat took part in the meeting of the ambassadors of the countries Organization of Islamic Cooperation
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Russia Esen Aydogdiyev took part in the meeting of ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held at the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was attended by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of foreign states to Russia, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Spiritual Administrations of Muslims and representatives of other religious associations.
The results of the work of the Strategic Vision Group in 2023 and prospects for 2024 were discussed. Special attention was paid to the special event of the Group "Russia — the Islamic World: a just multipolar world order and secure development", which will be held on May 16, 2024 in Kazan as part of the anniversary XV International Economic Forum KazanForum 2024.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko took part in the event on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"The role of the supporting structure in relations between Russia and the OIC is played by the Strategic Vision Group under the leadership of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich. It serves as a tool for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and trust between Russia and the Islamic world. In fact, this is a unique platform for interreligious dialogue, which is aimed at protecting traditional values, as well as strengthening mutual understanding between the Russian Orthodox Church and Muslim organizations. The next International Economic Forum "Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum" will be held in Kazan in mid-May. Its results will give an additional impetus to our cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. We will be glad to see representative delegations of your countries in the hospitable capital of Tatarstan," said Andrey Rudenko.
Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum", sent a video greeting to the participants of the meeting: "Currently, cooperation between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has reached the level of partnership. It is especially valuable for us that the Islamic countries, in the face of hostile actions by Western states, supported Russia's policy aimed at preserving traditional spiritual and moral values. In addition, it is safe to say that our economic cooperation opens up new prospects. This is evidenced by the growth of trade turnover between Russia and the OIC states. Such successes were made possible largely due to regular joint events, including the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum". It has established itself as an effective platform for establishing trusting contacts between Russia and Islamic countries."
At the meeting with the ambassadors, Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia – the Islamic World" of the Republic of Tatarstan, stressed that meetings in this format at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia have already become traditional.
