The next American business mission to Turkmenistan will be organized during the year


The organization of the next American business mission to Turkmenistan during this year was discussed at a meeting of Turkmen diplomats with the leadership of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council, held on Monday, January 12.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Meret Orazov, Head of the Department of American Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ambassador C.Atayev, Executive Director of the Council Eric Stewart, as well as representatives of major American member companies of the Council, in particular John Deere, Case New Holland, Boeing, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Climate Compass, Zeppelin, UGT Renewable, Caterpillar, Oxbow, Honeywell and Palo Alto Networks.
“The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and US companies, as well as organizational and practical aspects of the joint activity plan proposed by the Council for the current year,” the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The participants of the meeting spoke in favor of diversifying the economic partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States, in which a special place is given to investment, financial and banking, agricultural, oil and gas, transport, logistics and technological spheres. In this context, an exchange of views took place on the planning of the working agenda of the visit of a representative American business delegation to Turkmenistan during this year.
The previous business mission of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council took place in Ashgabat in early December 2023.
Washington’s interest in transforming the Turkmenistan—USA Council into the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Turkmenistan was expressed by Ambassador Matthew Klimow.
