Ak bugday is the winner of the competition for the title of the best district of Turkmenistan and the $1 million prize
During an expanded government meeting on Friday, the Head of State said that a special commission under the leadership of the Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan summed up the work on determining the area that achieved the highest results in socio-economic and cultural indicators over the past year. Then the floor was given to the chairman of the national trade unions, Akjemal Durdyyeva.
The leader of the trade unions of Turkmenistan said that following the discussion, the members of the Commission came to the unanimous opinion that the workers of the Ak Bugday district achieved high achievements in the socio-economic and cultural spheres in 2023.
After that, the President of the country, to the applause of members of the Cabinet of Ministers and participants of the expanded meeting, signed an order according to which the Ak Bugday district of the Ahal region, recognized as the winner of the national competition, was awarded a $1 million prize, and also announced by the same order the start of a new competition at the end of this year.
…It is appropriate to recall that the administrative center of the above–mentioned region is the city of Anew, whose history dates back seven thousand years, and this year it is recognized as the cultural capital of the Turkic world.
