Xi Jinping congratulated all Chinese people on Spring Festival
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping congratulated the Chinese people on the Spring Festival, Xinhua reports.
Speaking from the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi Jinping conveyed congratulations to his compatriots in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Chinese of all ethnic groups at home and abroad.
He called for writing a new chapter in promoting Chinese-style modernization.
“Looking back at our hard work over the past year, we can see that comprehensively advancing the course of building a strong nation and national rejuvenation through China's modernization is not only the road to prosperity for the Chinese people, but also a fair path to world peace and development. He emphasized the need to adhere to the main theme of the work - achieving progress in stability, effectively improving economic vitality, preventing and eliminating risks, and continuing to improve the living and well-being standard of the population.
Chinese New Year - Chunjie (Spring Festival) is the most important holiday for the Chinese, it has been celebrated for more than two thousand years. Its onset occurs on the second new moon after the winter solstice.
