St. Petersburg company Stafory.com, engaged in recruiting employees for local and international companies, offers the market a new project - automated recruiting. Meet Vera. She speaks fluent Russian and English and holds about 1,500 interviews with job seekers by phone, video or e-mail, selects suitable candidates and offers to come to the reception directly to the company. You say, a human can not cope with such a volume of work? Right. But Vera is not a human. Vera is a robot recruiter. Her work is based on artificial intelligence. In its program algorithms of machine training are laid down, thanks to which the quality of the work of Vera grows day by day. According to The Washington Post, since 2017, Vera helped about a hundred Russian companies to find several thousand new employees. "We offer a technology that can test callers for new jobs," said Alexei Kostarev, co-founder of the project. At the moment, our clients are about 200 companies. And the number of those who want to get acquainted with the technology is steadily growing." Kostarev adds that the system is most effective when an employer company is required to conduct a massive recruitment of employees for the position of "white-collar" office workers and sellers. Therefore, the most frequent clients of Stafory are retail chains and banks. The search for suitable candidates consists of several stages: Vera analyzes the requests for vacancies presented on the websites of recruiting agencies and portals, prepares questions for interviews in accordance with the requirements of the employer and conducts a call of candidates. "When Vera calls another candidate, she honestly admits that she is a robot, and then she is wondering if he still needs a job. If the answer is "yes," Vera can immediately conduct an interview either by phone or in a videoconference mode." Usually the interview lasts no more than 8 minutes. The robot outlines requirements for the applicant, offers of the employer about the salary and social guarantees and analyzes the answers of the interlocutor. At the moment the system is able to correctly answer in 82% of cases, however in the near future the company wants to bring the accuracy of answers to 85%. After a successful interview with the robot, the candidates are invited to talk with the live representative of the company, who will make the final decision. The task of Vera is to save the time of living recruiters. After all, a huge number of CVs left on the job search portals are no longer relevant. Someone found a job, someone moved, someone changed the field of activity. In the end, you have to spend a lot of time finding the real candidates. According to statistics from 100 CVs, "workers" rwflect a maximum of 20. A person searches for these twenty takes more than two days of hard work. Vera is able to cope with this in half an hour. Unfortunately, the applicants in the bulk are reacting negatively to Vera, considering the use of the robot in the interview as a manifestation of disinterestedness and even disrespect of the company. The creators of Vera agree that nothing can replace human communication, and emphasize that the final decision is made by people. The task of the robot is only to facilitate their life and shorten the time to find the ideal candidates for both sides. "If we are talking about recruiting in the creative field or looking for a candidate for leading an enterprise, the robot can not cope with this task. We do not pretend to be "almighty". However, it is already noticeable that employers are increasingly resorting to our services for more efficient construction of their business."
