Mechanisms for mutual assistance in emergency situations are being worked out in Central Asia


On February 6, Tashkent hosted a meeting of representatives of the energy and water management departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, where issues of water and energy cooperation were discussed.
During the meeting, proposals for the development of the energy system of the Central Asian countries were considered, reports UzDaily.uz .
During the meeting, issues of high load on energy systems in the autumn-winter period, construction of new hydroelectric power plants and development of energy systems in Central Asian countries were discussed.
Decisions have been made regarding mechanisms for mutual assistance in emergency situations and the formation of backup sources.
The parties also discussed the fulfillment of mutual obligations on the supply of water resources and electricity over the past year.
It is reported that at the next meeting, the parties will discuss the construction of hydroelectric power plants, in particular, the construction of the Kambarata HPP in Kyrgyzstan.
