Foreign coaches to train the Turkmen team for the 2021 Track Cycling World Championships

Foreign experts will train the Turkmen athletes for the Track Cycling World Championships that scheduled to hold in Ashgabat in 2021. This issue was discussed at a video conference with representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the Cycling Federation of Turkmenistan, as well as the International Cycling Union (UCI) Vincent Jacquet and Peter Van den Abeele. Qualified trainers will monitor the physical and technical training of Turkmen cyclists and conduct training camps for athletes. Specialists will form a team that will represent the country at the planet’s championships. During the session, the issue of holding a test international tournament before the World Cup in Ashgabat was discussed. The agenda of the meeting also included the issue of further training for juniors. The UCI representatives invited the athletes of Turkmenistan to take part in the upcoming the 2020 UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships which to take place in Cairo (Egypt) as it would contribute to gaining experience for the home championship.
