Turkic-speaking countries along the TRACECA will create a single portal of customs services

The customs authorities of the participating countries of the international cooperation program between the European Union and partner countries for the organization of the Europe- Caucasus -Asia transport corridor (TRACECA) are preparing a framework agreement on the creation of a single transit portal for electronic services.
This was stated by the head of the Customs Regulation Department of the Main Directorate of the Customs Administration of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Jafar Guluzade.
"We have carried out all the necessary domestic work in Azerbaijan. Currently, we are waiting for the Turkic-speaking countries involved in the international transit corridor to complete them too. Then a single transit portal of customs services will be created. Work is underway on an appropriate framework agreement," he said.
The TRACECA Program was first initiated in May 1993 at a conference in Brussels with the participation of ministers of trade and transport from 8 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The participants adopted the Brussels Declaration, which marked the beginning of the implementation of the interregional TRACECA technical assistance program.
