Kazakhstan is preparing for the World Nomad Games, expecting representatives from 107 countries in Astana
The Directorate for the preparation and holding of the World Nomad Games approved all protocols for the fifth Games, which will be held from September 8 to 15 in Astana, The Astana Times reports.
Currently, Kazakhstan is negotiating with 107 countries that have expressed interest in participating in the V World Nomad Games.
In the Nomad Games, which combines three main areas - sports, culture and science, athletes will compete for 110 sets of medals in 20 sports, including national equestrian sports, wrestling, traditional archery, hunting and intellectual sports.
The main site of the cultural program will be the “Universe of Nomads” ethno- village, which will spread over an area of ten hectares next to Kazanat, a hippodrome designed for high-level competitions that can accommodate 10 thousand spectators.
It is expected that the V World Nomad Games will gather about 4,000 participants and attract about 1,000 volunteers. The grand event, which was previously held three times in Kyrgyzstan and once in Turkey, will be held in Kazakhstan for the first time.
