Turkmenistan expands cooperation with Japanese universities


During the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Japan, on Monday, January 22, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with President of the University of Tsukuba Nagata Kyosuke and President of Soka University Masashi Suzuki.
During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the scientific and educational field. The interlocutors focused special attention on the implementation of joint programs and projects in the field of youth policy. University professors from Turkmenistan and Japan, as well as the Nippon Foundation representatives, touched upon the issues of strengthening close academic partnership.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Soka University, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Japan-Turkmenistan Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
