Serdar Berdimuhamedov: Turkmenistan is ready to consider Iran’s proposals in the oil and gas sector
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Thursday Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Oji.
The guest conveyed greetings from President of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi to the head of Turkmenistan, as well as National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Turkmen State Television and Radio reported in the news release.
During the meeting, the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran, which is based on the traditions of friendship and good neighborliness, was noted. The development of relations today is facilitated by working visits of government delegations of the two countries at different levels, connections in the trade and economic sphere, the fuel and energy complex, through transport and communications, in construction and agriculture and between representatives of business communities.
The key topic of discussion was cooperation in the oil and gas sector, for the expansion of which, according to the parties, new opportunities are opening up.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke in favor of an exchange of views between specialists in this industry to find new forms and methods of cooperation and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to consider all proposals and initiatives of Iranian partners.
