Draft of the Agreement on cooperation of Caspian states in transport sphere is discussing in Ashgabat
A third regular meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian littoral states to discuss a draft Agreement on cooperation in the field of transport in the Caspian Sea is holding in Ashgabat. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the State Marine and River Transport Service and the State Enterprise for Caspian Sea Affairs under the President of Turkmenistan. The draft of the discussed document is prepared by the Turkmen side in accordance with the proposal of the Turkmen leader to develop an Agreement on cooperation of Caspian States in transport sphere, put forward at the IV Summit of the Heads of the Caspian States (Astrakhan, 2014). The previous two meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian littoral states to discuss a draft Agreement on cooperation in the field of transport in the Caspian Sea was held in Ashgabat in 2016-2017.
