In 2023, Kazakhstan experienced a significant influx of agricultural products from abroad, accounting for about 70-80% of fruits and vegetables available in the country's markets and shops.

The total value of tomato imports amounted to $38.5 million, of which $27.3 million is the amount of supplies from Turkmenistan and $ 6.4 million from Uzbekistan. In addition, tomatoes were supplied from China, Iran and Russia, reports static.caravan.kz .
