Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebration opening the New Year's marathon
On Thursday, December 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited a children's party at the Main New Year Tree of the country, installed in front of the Alem cultural and entertainment center.
An elegant Christmas tree with a height of 44 meters and a width of 16 meters became the axis of a fun performance with the participation of young artists who performed poems, songs and dances, funny scenes. All this smoothly turned into a general dance around the Christmas tree, where the ringleaders, in addition to the Case of Frost and the Snow Maiden, were guys in costumes of the characters of the eastern horoscope – the "departing" rabbit and the "floating" fish.
The Head of State shared the joy of the holiday with the children, during which New Year's gifts were distributed to all the young participants of the celebration. A memorable photo was also taken of the guys with the president of the country at the Main Christmas Tree.
From here, Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where another Christmas tree takes over the baton at the "prima" New Year's marathon.
Before going to the hall, where the participants and guests of the celebration had already gathered, the head of state inspected the exhibition, which was launched at the CCI site as part of the youth forum on the results of the year held on the eve, December 27. Here, the Vice premiers presented the industry blocks of the universal exposition to the President.
Then Serdar Berdimuhamedov went to the hall with a lavishly decorated Christmas tree, where a New Year's show was held, opening a series of festive events for children, which covers kindergartens and schools, large parks and cultural and entertainment centers.
Members of the Government of the country, as well as the head of state, were present here today, they came with their children and grandchildren, as well as heads of foreign embassies accredited in Turkmenistan with their families.
The concert program included performances by folklore and dance groups, children's musical groups and talented children of all ages, as well as circus and puppet theater artists. The subjects of the plots included national heritage and world classics, modern motifs with an emphasis on trends among a young age audience, and all this was presented creatively and fervently.
Another highlight of the celebration was the removal, or rather, the rolling out into the hall of a huge beautiful cake in several tiers and the procedure for cutting it, after which all the participants of the holiday could appreciate the creation of the confectioners.
On January 1, 2024, according to tradition, pupils of the Palace of Orphans "Döwletliler köşgi" will take part in the same New Year's celebration at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to whom gifts will be presented on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty. In total, from January 1 to January 10, 4,000 children will receive gifts here.
