Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan met with heads of Turkish companies
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met on Tuesday, December 26, with Director General of the company “Baýkar Makina Sanaýi ve Tijaret A.Ş.” Lütfü Haluk Bayraktar and Director of the Board of Governors of the company “BMC Otomotiw Sanaýi ve Tijaret A.Ş.” Fuat Tosyali.
As noted at the meeting, the comprehensive development and strengthening of strategic and long-term relations with the Republic of Turkey is one of the key directions of the foreign policy strategy of the Turkmen state, the state news agency TDH reports.
Today the Republic of Turkey is one of the main trade and economic partners of our country. Turkish companies are actively working in important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
During the exchange of views, there were discussed opportunities for further development of relations in the field of defense. In this regard, the proposals of the Turkish company, which occupies a leading position in the world in the defense industry, were considered and appropriate agreements were reached in this direction.
Turkish businessmen noted that the supply of new, modern samples of high-quality products that are widely in demand in the world, produced by the companies they manage, will be a worthy contribution to the further strengthening of partnership relations.
In accordance with the Military Doctrine, which is purely defensive in nature, a transformation program to improve the material and technical base of the National Army is being successfully implemented.
– The legal status of neutrality of our independent state has been twice recognized by the world community. The policy of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan is based on peaceful, good-neighbourly, fraternal and friendly relations, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
As businessmen, in turn, noted, the legal status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan is important in ensuring peace, security and sustainable development at the regional and global levels, which determines further interaction between Turkmenistan and Turkey in various directions.
