The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is working on a draft law on energy saving
Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova, at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, informed parliamentarians about the legislative activities. She said that, among other legislative acts, new editions of the Civil Code and the Law “On Hydrometeorological Activities” are being prepared. The draft law “On Energy Saving and Efficient Use of Energy”, etc. is also being worked on. This was reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
Earlier, a month ago, Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov, who oversees the power industry in the government, reported on the preparation of a bill on energy saving. According to him, the bill is aimed at creating a legal, economic and organizational framework for stimulating energy saving and increasing energy efficiency.
