Energy, carbon neutrality, direct flights are on the agenda of the Ashgabat–Tokyo dialogue


The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs Rahymberdi Jepbarov made a working visit to Tokyo from December 13 to 16.
Representatives of Turkmenistan held a number of meetings with members of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation, as well as bilateral talks with heads of Japanese government agencies, organizations, financial institutions and leading Japanese companies.

The prospects for the implementation of previously reached agreements, new opportunities for the development of cooperation in the energy sector, as well as challenges on the way to achieving carbon neutrality were discussed, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
Following the visit, a number of documents were signed, including on establishing direct air links between the two countries, the press service added.
