Silent daughter-in-law conquering hearts

There are many who have been waiting for their finest hour in the cinema for years. And there are actresses who fall on the set in their youth, and already with one role played remain in our memory forever. One of these girls is charming, beautiful Tatyana Fedorushchenko (Moskalenko), whose name is often associated with Selby from the Turkmen film “Silent Daughter-in-law”, which has become a classic. Having won the hearts of the audience with a charming smile, Tatyana became an example for many to follow.
As it has happened more than once in the history of Turkmen cinema, Tatyana was “discovered” quite by accident, when in 1969 the director Setdar Karadzhaev started shooting the film “Silent Daughter-in-law”.
– I was born in 1954 in the Gurbansoltan Eje etrap (then Ilyalinsky District) of the Dashoguz Region,” Tatyana began the conversation. Parents came from Russia to Turkmenistan in the post-war period and stayed here. There are four sisters in the family and I am the second. In school years, I was very actively involved in the work of the cultural center of our region: in singing, dancing, drama club. Our team has repeatedly participated in regional festivals and concerts.
In Ashgabat, a republican festival of amateur art took place every two years, at which in 1969 the director noticed the talent of a young schoolgirl.
“When I was invited to act in films, I was still in grade 9,” the actress continues. These were unforgettable days for me. Indeed, thanks to this film, I for many viewers turned into a beloved daughter-in-law. Many say that in my role they saw a real Turkmen daughter-in-law: sociable, respectful and patient.
After the success of the film “Silent daughter-in-law,” Tatyana Fedorushchenko has been invited to the cinema more than once: “Call of the Desert”, “My Friend Melekush”. But the girl dreamed of something else - she wanted to teach and fulfilled her dream by entering the faculty of Russian philology of Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
- While studying in Ashgabat, I met my future husband, Viktor Fedorushchenko, who at that time was also a student. Having married, we left for the city of Cheleken (now Khazar). There I worked as the director of the library, taught at the school, and for me it is great happiness to see how my grandchildren grow up, how my children live and work,” says Tatyana Fedorushchenko.
The legendary film of Turkmen cinema, which turned 50 last year, has remained in the memory of all generations as one of the brightest cinematic works. And Tatyana, a Russian girl who played the role of Turkmen Selby, became a popular artist and beloved modest daughter-in-law.
