XI Turkmen-German Medical Forum – development of expert dialogue on healthcare
The XI Turkmen-German Medical Forum is organized in the format of a videoconference – the meeting of colleagues from the two countries takes place remotely on December 14-15.
The symposium is attended by professors and doctors of leading clinics in Germany, the teaching staff of the Turkmen State Medical University named after Myrat Garryev, heads and specialists of scientific and clinical centers and healthcare institutions.
The agenda includes issues of cooperation in the field of prevention, early diagnosis and therapy of various diseases, organization of emergency services, oncology, traumatology, orthopedics, etc., it was reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television.
The Turkmen-German Medical Forum has been convened regularly since 2011, which is when the close partnership between the Ministry of Health and the German Service of Senior Experts (SES) began. As part of this cooperation, 192 German professors were invited to Turkmenistan for a long time to exchange experiences. Experts conduct seminars in various fields, as well as train specialists in the workplace, for example, on conducting the most complex neurosurgical operations, in the field of radiation diagnostics and angiography, the latest methods of rehabilitation of patients with orthopedic and other injuries. About 400 Turkmen doctors have been trained in well-known clinics in Germany.
The X Turkmen-German Forum was also held via videoconference in January 2023.
In addition, the parties periodically organize webinars on certain issues of medical science and practice.
