The award for sports journalists open for applications
Applications for the third prize of the International Association of the Sports Press AIPS in sports journalism are open.
This top international award in the sports media industry encourages journalists to strive for new heights while continuing to create quality content. It is awarded to the best authors and professional journalists specializing in various genres of sports journalism - from photo and video reports, print materials in digital format to podcasts, as well as sports blogs.
Materials accepted for the competition for the AIPS Award include articles, videos and audio published in any language from October 8, 2019 to October 7, 2020. The deadline for submitting applications through the award site https://www.aipsawards.com/ is October 7, 2020. It should be noted that each participant in the competition can submit no more than two separate applications for all categories of the award.
A special category, Young Reporters Under 30, is provided for journalists born after January 1, 1991. Winners in this category will receive a unique prize - a scholarship to cover a major international sporting event.
Professional journalists will be awarded a separate prize for their achievements in the following areas:
Life in sports. The winner in this nomination can be a well-known television commentator, a gifted producer or newspaper columnist who has shown high professionalism in sports journalism.
Journalistic investigations. It notes materials that open up new sports-related topics and issues to the audience.
Entries submitted to the competition will be evaluated by a competent jury formed of representatives of leading sports media institutes. The award ceremony will take place in the first half of next year.
