The new L4S network standard will reduce Internet connection delays

The L4S standard aims to reduce the number of congested network packets queuing by adding congestion detection to each packet. As a result, site loading speed and stability when playing streaming video will increase.

The next network device that supports the new standard will be able to quickly adjust the flow of transmitted traffic. There is usually a buffer where packets waiting to be sent are stored in case of congestion. When a packet with the L4S setting hits the buffer, it marks itself as overloaded. Due to this, it takes less time to adjust the volume of transmitted traffic. This leads to reduced delays.

Large network companies such as Comcast, Nokia and Vodafone have already paid attention to the L4S standard.
