Bonded warehouses will appear in Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic put forward a corresponding initiative.

According to the department, bonded warehouses are necessary for Kazakhstan due to the increase in transit traffic due to parallel imports and changes in global logistics chains, as well as the introduction of a visa-free regime with China. It is expected that by 2029 their volume will increase to 1 million tons.

Bonded warehouses are premises for storing uncleared goods until required. Duties and fees for goods from bonded warehouses are paid after the actual purchase. This allows you to reduce the time of their delivery from the seller to the consumer. Goods can be stored in a bonded warehouse for as long as needed - there are no restrictions.

Since the end of last year, there has been a shortage of warehouse space in Kazakhstan. Currently, less than 1% of warehouse space in the country is vacant.
