Dragon Oil joins as Official Supporter for Ashgabat 2017
Dragon Oil, the UAE-based upstream oil company that is a long term partner of Turkmenistan, has announced official support for Ashgabat 2017. The announcement was made on 19 July 2017 at the Games website - www.ashgabat2017.com. Dragon Oil has been successfully operating in Turkmenistan for almost 17 years, investing significant funds to expand oil production in the country. The company also supports various social projects, sports events and teams, including Paralympics. Dragon Oil CEO Ali Al Jarwan said, “We strongly believe that Ashgabat 2017 will improve the image of the country on international stage and we are proud to support the country in this brilliant initiative.” Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd received licenses on 1 May 2000 for PSA (production sharing agreement) for the extraction and development of oil and gas resources on the contracted territory Cheleken in the Caspian Sea for a period of 25 years
