The tax free system will appear in all airports of Uzbekistan

In the near future, the tax free system for tourists will be introduced in all 11 international airports of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan airports JSC.

Since January 1 of this year, the system of refund to foreigners of the amount of value added tax (VAT) paid by them when purchasing certain types of goods has already been in effect at five airports of the republic. They are located in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench.

The total amount of the purchase of goods subject to the tax free system must be at least 1 million soms (about $80).

Tourists can return the amount of VAT when buying souvenirs, fruits and dried fruits, leather and fur products, carpets, textiles.
