Almost 600 thousand tons of fruit were harvested in Tajikistan
From January to October 2023, 1628,712 tons of grain were produced in Tajikistan, the National News Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar" reports with reference to the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic.
Thus, 830,365 tons of wheat, 280,410 tons of cotton, 989782 tons of potatoes, 2733,227 tons of vegetables, 949763 tons of melons, 584697 tons of fruits, 169251 tons of grapes and 1555532 tons of fodder were produced. These indicators are higher compared to the same period in 2022: potatoes — by 5.4%, vegetables — by 11%, melons — by 17.4%, fruits — by 35.4%, fodder — by 5.5%. Grain production remained at the level of last year.
Grain reserves amounted to 12219.8 tons, corn for grain — 963.4 tons, sunflower — 0.3 tons, potatoes — 1749.6 tons, vegetables — 7505.2 tons, fruits — 906 tons, grapes — 274 tons, flour — 1465.2 tons, vegetable oil — 776.5 tons, granulated sugar — 142 tons, rice — 383.6 tons and 3262 conditional cans of all types of canned products.
