FIFA extends partnership with Qatar Airways until 2030
FIFA has extended its partnership with Qatar's national airline Qatar Airways until 2030.
The collaboration, which dates back to 2017, will include coverage of several football competitions, including the 2026 and 2030 FIFA Men's World Cups, the 2027 Women's World Cup, and all junior men's and women's tournaments.
As with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Qatar Airways will provide exclusive travel packages including match tickets, flights and accommodation.
“Today I am very proud to announce the renewal of our partnership between Qatar Airways and FIFA. This great partnership has brought great success to FIFA and of course to Qatar Airways,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.
The 2030 FIFA World Cup promises more long-distance travel for fans, with games taking place in six countries on three continents.
During the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the airline operated approximately 14,000 flights.
