A resolution of the UN General Assembly on the 25th anniversary of SPECA was adopted


At the UN General Assembly, held on November 20, a unanimous decision of the participants adopted a draft resolution dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA). The project was jointly proposed by Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the chairman of SPECA for 2023.
The parties noted that the resolution entitled "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" once again emphasizes the important role of SPECA as a regional platform for promoting mutual understanding, economic cooperation and regional development of the participating countries.
The importance of further development of regional cooperation between the Central Asian states on the way to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals was also noted.
