95 years of joy: Mickey Mouse celebrates his birthday
Almost a century ago, back in 1928, the debut of the most famous mouse in the world took place. On this day, the premiere of the first voiced cartoon with the participation of Mickey and Minnie Mouse – "Steamboat Willie" took place.
A little later, the first comics featuring this character began to be published, and in 1932 he started to speak in the voice of his "father", the outstanding animator Walt Disney. For almost a century of his "life", the cartoon character has undergone many changes – the shape of the eyes, nose, ears have changed many times, but all this has not affected his recognition in any way.
Interestingly, Mickey became the first fictional character with a star on the Walk of fame in Hollywood. The mouse received it in 1978, on the 50th anniversary. Mickey's girlfriend was also awarded a star, but more recently - in 2018 on her 90th birthday.
