Aurus car assembly started in Dubai
The assembly of Aurus cars started at the production site in Dubai, Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told reporters. The first model was the Aurus Senat sedan, and the production of the Komendant SUV will be launched in the future, TASS reports.
In addition, there are plans to open a showroom for the sale and customization of Aurus cars for buyers in the UAE, Manturov stressed.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the brand's presence in the Middle East will gradually expand. "We are considering expansion, as I have already said. Now we will gain a solid foothold here, and then we will move," he answered the question about the possible opening of the Aurus salon in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Manturov stated that the countries of the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) will be the main export destination for the supply of luxury cars Aurus in the near future.
In December 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in an interview with TASS, reported that the assembly of Aurus cars in the United Arab Emirates could begin in 2024, simultaneously with the opening of a dealership there.
Aurus cars belong to the executive and upper class. The line includes a limousine, sedan, minivan and SUV. Russian President Vladimir Putin is driving one of these cars.
