A meeting of heads of emergency departments of Central Asian countries was held in Almaty


The annual regional forum, the Meeting of the Heads of Emergency Departments of Central Asian Countries, was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

A number of events took place on the sidelines of the forum - a meeting of the expert working group, regional training on monitoring the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, seminars, bilateral meetings of heads of delegations, and, of course, reports on the designated topic by the heads of emergency departments of the Central Asian countries.

During the meeting, a discussion and agreement was held on the Concept for creating a Digital Atlas of natural and man-made transboundary threats for Central Asian countries, measures for the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and other equally relevant topics.

The main goal of the annual forum is to achieve maximum reduction in the risks of natural disasters of a transboundary nature through close interaction between the relevant structures of the Central Asian countries.
