The Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with the leadership and Turkmen students of Gomel universities
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev visited the leading institutions of higher education in the Gomel region, where Turkmen students study.
In particular, the ambassador visited the Gomel State University named after F. Skorina, where he met with the leadership of the university, discussing with him the possibility of expanding scientific and educational exchange, training and retraining of specialists, establishing scientific contacts, and increasing the number of Turkmen citizens studying here.
In addition, a briefing was held on the main theses of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, held on September 24, 2023, the event was attended by the heads, faculty of the university and Turkmen students.
The diplomat held a separate meeting with young people from Turkmenistan, where they discussed issues of obtaining a quality education, active participation in the cultural and sports life of the university.
Then Shagulyev visited the Gomel State Medical University, where he also met with the leadership of the university and active Turkmen students, held a round table on the topic of speeches by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.
Currently, according to the Turkmen Embassy, 328 citizens of Turkmenistan are studying at the Gomel State University named after F. Skorina, of which 140 are first-year students, and at the Gomel State Medical University - 135 citizens of Turkmenistan, including 35 first-year students.
