Ashgabat and Islamabad are considering opportunities to expand trade and economic ties


Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov this week held meetings with President of the Chamber of Small Entrepreneurs and Small Industrialists of Islamabad Sajjad Sarwar and with a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtaviri.

During the meetings, the Turkmen side made a presentation on the foreign and domestic policies of Turkmenistan. In this context, speaking about large-scale programs and projects implemented in Turkmenistan in the economic direction, special attention was paid to the “smart” city of Arkadag.
During the negotiations, an exchange of views on issues of expanding trade and economic partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan took place, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
