Training on launching next generation mobile communication networks will be held in Ashgabat


On November 9, a two-day training “Launch of next generation mobile communication networks (IMT-2020/5G)”, organized by the International Telecommunication Union, starts in Ashgabat.
The event will be held as part of the XVI International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on telecommunications, telemetry, information technology and television and radio equipment “Turkmentel-2023”, which also opens tomorrow in the Turkmen capital.
The training will bring together all interested parties on one platform - from representatives of the public sector, scientific intelligentsia to telecom operators.
During the event, issues such as the features and advantages of 5G technology, best practices in the field of commercial launch and development of 5G networks will be addressed. Participants will also become familiar with Turkmenistan’s actions to optimize the implementation of 5G technologies and services in the country.
Separate thematic sessions will be devoted to the long-term evolution of 5G/IMT-2020 and the transition to 6G.
Included among the speakers are the head of the Fixed and Mobile Services Division of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau, Karlis Bogens, the technical director of Ubiquitous Wireless LLP (Kazakhstan) Vadim Poskakukhin, the head of the Digital Transformation Acceleration Forum (formerly the APAC 5G Forum) and the head of the North-East Asia region at GSMA John David Kim.
