The President of Turkmenistan visited the new equestrian center and took part in a landscaping campaign
A nationwide greening campaign took place in Turkmenistan on Saturday, November 4. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mass tree planting.
And before that, the head of state got acquainted with the ongoing work on breeding Akhal-Teke horses, visiting the new equestrian complex, the construction of which was completed in the foothill valley of the Kopetdag. Conditions have been created here for keeping 600 thoroughbred horses.
Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported on the work completed. The total area of the new facility is 15.4 hectares, on this territory there is an administrative building, a veterinary hospital, a stable for 40 breeding stallions, two stables for breeding mares with 60 stalls each, five more are designed for 88 horses, there are also places for walking and training horses, feed warehouse and other necessary premises.
The vice-president of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the International Association “Turkmen Alabai” and the director of the State Association “Turkmenatlary”, the rector of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev, reported on the activities of the organizations they represent. At the end of the meeting, the head of state spoke in favor of timing the opening ceremony of the new equestrian complex to the Harvest Festival, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of November.
Then Serdar Berdimuhamedov headed to the city of Arkadag, to the site of the greening campaign. Here the president was greeted by members of the country's leadership, representatives of the local administration, the public, foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations.
The head of state launches a landscaping campaign and plants the first tree. All the participants of the action followed him. Similar events took place across the country on Saturday. In addition to planting trees, work was carried out to care for existing plantings.
In just one day, more than 472 thousand seedlings of coniferous, fruit and deciduous species were planted, and 1 million 868 thousand 935 trees were cared for.
