The Day of National Unity of the Russian Federation was celebrated in Ashgabat


The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, in Ashgabat, welcomed the guests on Sunday – the Day of National Unity of the Russian Federation was celebrated here with a series of events, inviting residents of the Turkmen capital to participate in the celebration, and at the same time in master classes related to culture and crafts of different regions of Russia. The participants of the event could try themselves in decorative painting of plates, making a traditional female headdress or a model of the dwelling of the northern peoples.

The guests of the festival saw the performance of the dances of the peoples of Russia, participated in an interactive quiz, where it was necessary to guess monuments in Russian cities from photos on the screen. Later, those who wished joined the dance flash mob "Oh, why I love Ivan".

There was also a fair of local masters of decorative and applied arts on the site of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, who presented paintings, bags, toys, dishes made in the Turkmen style.

At the master class dedicated to Central Russia, the guests were offered to lay out a panel of beads "Moscow City". "We wanted to show that Russia is not only a friendly country, rich in spiritual culture, but also an ultra-modern state, high-tech. We are very proud of this and want to share it with the whole world," Yulia Zaitseva, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo, is quoted in the report.
