The President of Turkmenistan took part in the launch and laying of facilities in the Balkan region


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a working trip to the Balkan region, took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the commissioning and laying of a number of energy and social facilities.
With the participation of the head of state, the foundation of a combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 1,574 megawatts was laid in the Turkmenbashi region. Serdar Berdimuhamedov lowered a capsule with a memorable message into the foundation of the new building and, together with the honorary elders, laid the first shovels of concrete mixture into the base of the future power plant. There will be installed 4 gas turbines running on natural "blue fuel" and 2 steam turbines produced by one of the world's leading companies - General Electric, USA.
From here, through digital communication, the President of Turkmenistan launched the launch of a new Mary –Ahal power transmission line and its connection to the country's ring power grid, and then the commissioning of two new gas turbine units for electricity production in the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, the TDH state news agency reports.
The celebrations continued in the village of Guvlymayak, where the laying of a large residential complex with social infrastructure intended for employees of the enterprises of the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" took place.
The head of Turkmenistan gave his blessing to the start of work on the construction of a residential complex, and the first shovels of concrete mix were laid at the base of the new building.
