Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan took part in the OTG summit


The national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the 10th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), held in Astana.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty announced at the OTG summit the vision of Ashgabat for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the space of the Organization of Turkic States.

A document entitled "Prospects of the Turkic world – 2040" was approved at the summit. The meeting was held under the motto "The Turkic Era!", or "TURKTIME!".
This abbreviation reflects eight priorities that will be given priority attention during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the organization: Traditions, Unification, Reforms, Knowledge, Trust, Investments, Mediation and Energy.

The summit, which was chaired by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was also attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, Secretary General of OTG Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
In November 2021, Turkmenistan joined the OTG as an observer. Currently, work is underway on the accession of the Turkmen side to the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic States.
